Despite several feet of snow on the ground here in Chelan, real estate sales plodded onward. Over the first two months of 2017, there were 20 Single Family Homes closed. Eighteen of those were single family residences and 2 were condos.

While a fair number of properties were purchased as a Cash transaction, the majority of homes are financed. An important thing to note, if you’re considering buying and getting financing for that purchase, make sure you speak with a local Broker in town. Appraisals in Chelan can cause major delays with your closing date, so it’s important you work with a lender who has previously approved local appraisers.
It’s always important to note the Sales Price to List Price ratio especially as it relates to market time. The chart below shows homes on the market between 31-60 days sold for 100% of List price, while those on the market 4 months or longer, received 93.38% of the asking price.
